Exodus 17:9-13
9So Moses said to aJoshua, “Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with bthe staff of God in my hand.” 10So cJoshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and dHur went up to the top of the hill. 11Whenever Moses eheld up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12But Moses’ hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and fHur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13And gJoshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.Exodus 32:11-12
11But hMoses implored the Lord his God and said, “O Lord, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 iWhy should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil intent did he bring them out, to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your burning anger and jrelent from this disaster against your people.Numbers 16:21-22
21 k“Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them lin a moment.” 22And they mfell on their faces and said, “O God, nthe God of the spirits of all flesh, oshall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?”Numbers 16:47-48
47So Aaron took it as Moses said and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the plague had already begun among the people. And he put on the incense and made atonement for the people. 48And he stood between the dead and the living, and pthe plague was stopped.1 Samuel 12:23
23Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing qto pray for you, rand I will instruct you in the good and the right way.Ezekiel 22:30
30 sAnd I sought for a man among them twho should build up the wall uand stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.
