Exodus 18:2-5

2Now Jethro, Mosesfather-in-law, had taken Zipporah, Moseswife, after he had sent her home, 3along with her atwo sons. The name of the one was Gershom ( bfor he said, c“I have been a sojourner
 Gershom sounds like the Hebrew word for  sojourner
in a foreign land”),
4and the name of the other, Eliezer
 Eliezer means My God is help
(for he said, “The God of my father was my help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh”).
5Jethro, Mosesfather-in-law, came with his sons and his wife to Moses in the wilderness where he was encamped at the fmountain of God.

Exodus 18:19

19Now obey my voice; I will give you advice, and God be with you! You shall grepresent the people before God and hbring their cases to God,

Ezra 10:2

2And Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, addressed Ezra: i“We have broken faith with our God and have married foreign women from the peoples of the land, but even now there is hope for Israel in spite of this.

Ezra 10:5

5Then Ezra arose and made the leading priests and Levites and all Israel jtake an oath that they would do as had been said. So they took the oath.
