Exodus 19:12-19

12And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. aWhoever touches the mountain shall be put to death. 13No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot;
That is,  shot with an arrow
whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When cthe trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.”
14So Moses dwent down from the mountain to the people and econsecrated the people; fand they washed their garments. 15And he said to the people, “Be ready for the gthird day; hdo not go near a woman.”

16On the morning of the ithird day there were jthunders and lightnings and ka thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud ltrumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp mtrembled. 17Then nMoses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. 18Now oMount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and pthe whole mountain trembled greatly. 19And as the qsound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and rGod answered him in thunder.

Exodus 20:18

18Now when all the people saw sthe thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid

17Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a udevouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel.

Deuteronomy 4:11

11And vyou came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, while wthe mountain burned with fire to the heart of heaven, wrapped in darkness, cloud, and gloom.

Deuteronomy 5:22-26

22These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly xat the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and he added no more. And yhe wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me. 23And zas soon as you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders. 24And you said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and aagreatness, and abwe have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man, and man acstill live. 25Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. adIf we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, we shall die. 26 aeFor who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of fire as we have, and has still lived?

Romans 6:14

14For afsin agwill have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
