Exodus 19:16-18

16On the morning of the athird day there were bthunders and lightnings and ca thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud dtrumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp etrembled. 17Then fMoses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. 18Now gMount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and hthe whole mountain trembled greatly.

Deuteronomy 5:22-24

22These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly iat the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and he added no more. And jhe wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me. 23And kas soon as you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders. 24And you said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and lgreatness, and mwe have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man, and man nstill live.

1 Kings 19:11-13

11And he said, “Go out and ostand on the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and pa great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind qan earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.

13And when Elijah heard it, she wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, tthere came a voice to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Job 38:1

The Lord Answers Job

and quaked, because he was angry.
8Smoke went up from his nostrils,
Or in his wrath

and devouring xfire from his mouth;
glowing coals flamed forth from him.
9He ybowed the heavens and zcame down;
aathick darkness was under his feet.
10He rode on a cherub and flew;
he came swiftly on abthe wings of the wind.
11He made darkness his covering, his accanopy around him,
thick clouds addark with water.
12Out of the brightness before him
aehailstones and coals of fire broke through his clouds.
13 The Lord also afthundered in the heavens,
and the Most High uttered his agvoice,
hailstones and coals of fire.
14And he sent out his aharrows and scattered them;
he flashed forth lightnings and airouted them.
15Then ajthe channels of the sea were seen,
and the foundations of the world were laid bare
at your akrebuke, O Lord,
at the blast of althe breath of your nostrils.

Psalms 50:3

3 Our God comes; he amdoes not keep silence;
Or May our God come, and not keep silence

before him is a devouring aofire,
