Exodus 19:4

4 a'You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how bI bore you on eagleswings and brought you to myself.

Deuteronomy 32:11-12

11 cLike an eagle that stirs up its nest,
that flutters over its young,
spreading out its wings, catching them,
bearing them on its pinions,
12 dthe Lord alone guided him,
eno foreign god was with him.

Joshua 24:5-14

5 fAnd I sent Moses and Aaron, gand I plagued Egypt with what I did in the midst of it, and hafterward I brought you out.

6“‘Then iI brought your fathers out of Egypt, and jyou came to the sea. kAnd the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea. 7 lAnd when they cried to the Lord, mhe put darkness between you and the Egyptians nand made the sea come upon them and cover them; oand your eyes saw what I did in Egypt. pAnd you lived in the wilderness a long time. 8Then I brought you to the land of the Amorites, who lived on the other side of the Jordan. qThey fought with you, and I gave them into your hand, and you took possession of their land, and I destroyed them before you. 9 rThen Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel. sAnd he sent and invited Balaam the son of Beor to curse you, 10 tbut I would not listen to Balaam. uIndeed, he blessed you. So I delivered you out of his hand. 11 vAnd you went over the Jordan and came to Jericho, wand the leaders of Jericho fought against you, and also xthe Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And I gave them into your hand. 12And I sent ythe hornet before you, which drove them out before you, the two kings of the Amorites; it was znot by your sword or by your bow. 13I gave you a land on which you had not labored aaand cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’

Choose Whom You Will Serve

14 ab“Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. acPut away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.

Isaiah 46:4

4 adeven to your old age I am he,
and to gray hairs I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear;
I will carry and will save.

Isaiah 63:7-14

The Lord’s Mercy Remembered

7 I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord,
the praises of the Lord,
according to all that the Lord has granted us,
aeand the great goodness to the house of Israel
that he has granted them according to his compassion,
according to the abundance of his steadfast love.
8For he said, “Surely they are my people,
children who will not deal falsely.”
And he became their Savior.
9 afIn all their affliction he was afflicted,
Or  he did not afflict

and the angel of his presence saved them;
ahin his love and in his pity he redeemed them;
aihe lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
10 ajBut they rebelled
akand grieved his Holy Spirit;
therefore he turned to be their enemy,
and himself fought against them.
11Then he remembered althe days of old,
of Moses and his people.
Or  Then his people remembered the days of old, of Moses

anWhere is he who brought them up out of the sea
with the shepherds of his flock?
Where is he who put in the midst of them
his Holy Spirit,
12who caused his glorious arm
to go at the right hand of Moses,
aowho divided the waters before them
apto make for himself an everlasting name,
13who led them through the depths?
Like a horse in the desert,
they did not stumble.
14Like livestock that go down into the valley,
aqthe Spirit of the Lord gave them rest.
So you led your people,
arto make for yourself a glorious name.

Amos 2:9-10

9 “Yet asit was I who destroyed the Amorite before them,
atwhose height was like the height of the cedars
and who was as strong as the oaks;
auI destroyed his fruit above
and his roots beneath.
10 avAlso it was I who brought you up out of the land of Egypt
awand led you forty years in the wilderness,
axto possess the land of the Amorite.
