Joshua 24:5-14

So I delivered you out of his hand. 11 ^vAnd you went over the Jordan and came to Jericho, ^wand the leaders of Jericho fought against you, and also ^xthe Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And I gave them into your hand. 12 And I sent ^ythe hornet before you, which drove them out before you, the two kings of the Amorites; it was ^znot by your sword or by your bow. 13 I gave you a land on which you had not labored ^aaand cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’

Isaiah 63:7-14

The Lord’s Mercy Remembered

7 I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord,
the praises of the Lord,
according to all that the Lord has granted us,

that he has granted them according to his compassion,
according to the abundance of his steadfast love.
8 For he said, “Surely they are my people,
children who will not deal falsely.”
And he became their Savior.

Amos 2:9-10

9 “Yet ^asit was I who destroyed the Amorite before them,

and who was as strong as the oaks;
