Exodus 2:14-15

14He answered, aWho made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought, “Surely the thing is known.” 15When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But bMoses fled from Pharaoh and stayed in the land of Midian. And he sat down by ca well.

Exodus 4:19

19And the Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt, for dall the men who were seeking your life are dead.”

Exodus 14:10-13

10When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel ecried out to the Lord. 11They fsaid to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt? 12Is not this what gwe said to you in Egypt: ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.” 13And Moses said to the people, hFear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For ithe Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.
