Exodus 2:14-22

14He answered, aWho made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought, “Surely the thing is known.” 15When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But bMoses fled from Pharaoh and stayed in the land of Midian. And he sat down by ca well.

16Now the dpriest of Midian had seven daughters, and ethey came and drew water and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. 17The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and fwatered their flock. 18When they came home to their father gReuel, he said, “How is it that you have come home so soon today?” 19They said, “An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds and even drew water for us and hwatered the flock.” 20He said to his daughters, “Then where is he? Why have you left the man? Call him, that he may ieat bread.” 21And Moses was content to dwell with the man, and he gave Moses his daughter jZipporah. 22She gave birth to a son, and he called his name kGershom, for he said, “I have been a lsojourner
 Gershom sounds like the Hebrew for  sojourner
in a foreign land.”

Exodus 4:19-20

19And the Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt, for nall the men who were seeking your life are dead.” 20So Moses took ohis wife and his sons and had them ride on a donkey, and went back to the land of Egypt. And Moses took pthe staff of God in his hand.
