Exodus 2:23

God Hears Israel’s Groaning

23 aDuring those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel bgroaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. cTheir cry for rescue from slavery came up to God.

Exodus 14:10

10When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel dcried out to the Lord.

Exodus 14:30-31

30Thus the Lord esaved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. 31 fIsrael saw the great power that the Lord used against the Egyptians, so the people feared the Lord, and they gbelieved in the Lord and in his servant Moses.

Exodus 17:2-7

2 hTherefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you itest the Lord?” 3But the people thirsted there for water, and jthe people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” 4So Moses cried to the Lord, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready kto stone me.” 5And the Lord said to Moses, “Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with lwhich you struck the Nile, and go. 6 mBehold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7And he called the name of the place nMassah
 Massah means testing
and pMeribah,
 Meribah means quarreling
because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Psalms 50:15

15and rcall upon me in the day of trouble;
I will sdeliver you, and you shall tglorify me.”

Psalms 91:14-15

14 Because he uholds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he vknows my name.
15When he wcalls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and xhonor him.
