Exodus 2:23-24

God Hears Israel’s Groaning

23 aDuring those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel bgroaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. cTheir cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. 24And dGod heard their groaning, and God eremembered his covenant with fAbraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Exodus 3:7-9

7Then the Lord said, g“I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their htaskmasters. I know their sufferings, 8and iI have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and jto bring them up out of that land to a kgood and broad land, a land lflowing with milk and honey, to the place of mthe Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9And now, behold, nthe cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the ooppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

Judges 10:16

16So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord, and phe became impatient over the misery of Israel.
