God Hears Israel’s Groaning

23 ^aDuring those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel ^bgroaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. ^cTheir cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. 24 And ^dGod heard their groaning, and God ^eremembered his covenant with ^fAbraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 God ^gsaw the people of Israel—and God ^hknew.

Exodus 3:7

7 Then the Lord said, ⁱ“I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their ^jtaskmasters. I know their sufferings,

2 Kings 13:4
