Exodus 2:23-25

God Hears Israel’s Groaning

23 aDuring those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel bgroaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. cTheir cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. 24And dGod heard their groaning, and God eremembered his covenant with fAbraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25God gsaw the people of Israel—and God hknew.

9And now, behold, kthe cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the loppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

Exodus 6:5-6

5Moreover, qI have heard the groaning of the people of Israel whom the Egyptians hold as slaves, and I have remembered my covenant. 6Say therefore to the people of Israel, r‘I am the Lord, and sI will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and tI will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.

Judges 2:18
