12 aHonor your father and your mother, bthat your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

Matthew 15:4-6

4For God commanded, cHonor your father and your mother,’ and, d‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ 5But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to God,”

1 Timothy 4:8

8for while lbodily training is of some value, godliness mis of value in every way, as nit holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

1 Timothy 5:4

4But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn oto show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for pthis is pleasing in the sight of God.

1 Timothy 5:8

8But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for qmembers of his household, he has rdenied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
