Exodus 24:16-18

16 bThe glory of the Lord dwelt on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a cdevouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel. 18Moses entered the cloud and went up on the mountain. And Moses dwas on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Deuteronomy 4:11-12

11And eyou came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, while fthe mountain burned with fire to the heart of heaven, wrapped in darkness, cloud, and gloom. 12Then gthe Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of words, hbut saw no form; ithere was only a voice.

1 Kings 8:10-12

10And when the priests came out of the Holy Place, ja cloud filled the house of the Lord, 11so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.
