23 aYou shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.

Exodus 32:2-4

Deuteronomy 7:25

25The carved images of their gods hyou shall burn with fire. You ishall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them or take it for yourselves, lest you be jensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Judges 8:26-27

26And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was 1,700 shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
of gold, besides lthe crescent ornaments and mthe pendants and the purple garments worn by the kings of Midian, and besides the collars that were around the necks of their camels.
27And Gideon nmade an ephod of it and put it in his city, oin Ophrah. And all Israel pwhored after it there, and it became a qsnare to Gideon and to his family.

1 Kings 12:28

Daniel 5:23

23but you have lifted up yourself against wthe Lord of heaven. And xthe vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. yAnd you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, zbut the God in whose hand is your breath, and aawhose are all your ways, abyou have not honored.
