Exodus 32:1-4

The Golden Calf

1When the people saw that Moses gdelayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, hUp, make us gods who shall igo before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.” 2So Aaron said to them, “Take off the jrings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 kAnd he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden

1 Samuel 5:4-5

4But when they rose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord, nand the head of Dagon and both his hands were lying cut off on the threshold. Only the trunk of Dagon was left to him. 5This is why the priests of Dagon and all who enter the house of Dagon odo not tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

2 Kings 17:33

33So they feared the Lord but also served their own gods, after the manner of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.

Ezekiel 20:39

39“As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the Lord God: qGo serve every one of you his idols, now and hereafter, if you will not listen to me; rbut my holy name you shall no more profane with your gifts and your idols.

Ezekiel 43:8

8by setting their threshold by my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with sonly a wall between me and them. They have tdefiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed, so I have consumed them in my anger.

Daniel 5:4

4They drank wine and upraised the vgods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

Daniel 5:23

23but you have lifted up yourself against wthe Lord of heaven. And xthe vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. yAnd you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, zbut the God in whose hand is your breath, and aawhose are all your ways, abyou have not honored.
