4 a“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Leviticus 11:10-12

10But anything in the seas or the rivers that does not have fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and of the living creatures that are in the waters, is bdetestable to you. 11You shall regard them as detestable; you shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses. 12Everything in the waters that does not have fins and scales is detestable to you.

Leviticus 11:29-31

29“And these are unclean to you among the swarming things that swarm on the ground: the mole rat, cthe mouse, the great lizard of any kind, 30the gecko, the monitor lizard, the lizard, the sand lizard, and the chameleon. 31These are unclean to you among all that swarm. Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until the evening.

Leviticus 11:42-44

42Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, any swarming thing that swarms on the ground, you shall not eat, for they are detestable. 43 dYou shall not make yourselves detestable with any swarming thing that swarms, and you shall not defile yourselves with them, and become unclean through them. 44For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and ebe holy, for I am holy. fYou shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground.

Deuteronomy 4:18

18the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth.

Deuteronomy 14:3

3 g“You shall not eat any abomination.

Deuteronomy 14:7-8

7Yet of those that chew the cud or have the hoof cloven you shall not eat these: the camel, the hare, and the hrock badger, because they chew the cud but do not part the hoof, are unclean for you. 8And the pig, because it parts the hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. Their flesh you shall not eat, and itheir carcasses you shall not touch.

Isaiah 57:6-10

6Among the smooth stones of jthe valley is your portion;

Shall I relent for these things?

and there you went up to offer sacrifice.
