Hosea 4:1-2

The Lord Accuses Israel

1 gHear the word of the Lord, O children of Israel,
for hthe Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land.
There is no faithfulness or steadfast love,
and ino knowledge of God in the land;
2 jthere is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery;
they break all bounds, and kbloodshed follows bloodshed.

Hosea 10:4

4They utter lmere words;
with empty oaths they make covenants;
so mjudgment springs up like poisonous weeds
nin the furrows of the field.

Zechariah 5:4

4I will send it out, declares the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter the house of the thief, and the house of ohim who swears falsely by my name. And pit shall remain in his house and qconsume it, both timber and stones.”

Zechariah 8:17
