Exodus 20:9-11

9 aSix days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10but the bseventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the csojourner who is within your gates. 11For din six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Exodus 23:12

12 eSix days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.

Exodus 31:15-17

15 fSix days shall work be done, but gthe seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. hWhoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. 16Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. 17 iIt is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that jin six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and kon the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”

Exodus 35:2

2 lSix days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.

Numbers 15:32-36

A Sabbathbreaker Executed

32While the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man mgathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation. 34 nThey put him in custody, because it had not been made clear what should be done to him. 35And the Lord said to Moses, o“The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall pstone him with stones outside the camp.” 36And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Isaiah 58:13

13 qIf you turn back your foot from the Sabbath,
from doing your pleasure
Or business
on my holy day,
and call the Sabbath a delight
and the holy day of the Lord honorable;
if you honor it, not going your own ways,
or seeking syour own pleasure,
Or pursuing your own business
or talking idly;
Hebrew  or speaking a word

Matthew 12:10

10And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him, v“Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— wso that they might accuse him.
