Exodus 21:12-14

12 a“Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death. 13 bBut if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then cI will appoint for you a place to which he may flee. 14But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, dyou shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

Numbers 35:12

12The cities shall be for you a refuge from the avenger, that the manslayer may not die until he stands before the congregation for judgment.

Numbers 35:16-21

16 e“But if he struck him down with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death. 17And if he struck him down with a stone tool that could cause death, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death. 18Or if he struck him down with a wooden tool that could cause death, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death. 19 fThe avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death; when he meets him, he shall put him to death. 20And if he pushed him out of hatred or hurled something at him, glying in wait, so that he died, 21or in enmity struck him down with his hand, so that he died, then he who struck the blow shall be put to death. He is a murderer. hThe avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.

Numbers 35:30-34

30“If anyone kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death on the ievidence of witnesses. But no person shall be put to death on the testimony of one witness. 31Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death. 32And you shall accept no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may return to dwell in the land before the death of the high priest. 33You shall not jpollute the land in which you live, for blood kpollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except lby the blood of the one who shed it. 34 mYou shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell, nfor I the Lord dwell in the midst of the people of Israel.”

Deuteronomy 21:7-9

7and they shall testify, ‘Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it shed. 8Accept atonement, O Lord, for your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and odo not set the guilt of innocent blood in the midst of your people Israel, so that their blood guilt be atoned for.’ 9So pyou shall purge the guilt of innocent blood from your midst, when you do what is right in the sight of the Lord.

1 Kings 2:5-6

1 Kings 2:31-32

31The king replied to him, xDo as he has said, strike him down and bury him, yand thus take away from me and from my father’s house the guilt for the blood that Joab shed without cause. 32The Lord will zbring back his bloody deeds on his own head, because, without the knowledge of my father David, he attacked and killed with the sword two men aamore righteous and better than himself, abAbner the son of Ner, commander of the army of Israel, and acAmasa the son of Jether, commander of the army of Judah.
