anyone who fpractices divination or gtells fortunes or interprets omens, or ha sorcerer 11or a charmer or ia medium or a necromancer or jone who inquires of the dead, 12 kfor whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And lbecause of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. 1 Chronicles 10:13
13So Saul died mfor his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also nconsulted a medium, seeking guidance.Acts 8:9-11
Simon the Magician Believes
9But there was a man named Simon, owho had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, psaying that he himself was somebody great. 10They all paid attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, q“This man is the power of God that is called rGreat.” 11And they paid attention to him because for a long time he had samazed them with his magic.Acts 19:18-19
18Also many of those who were now believers came, tconfessing and divulging their practices. 19And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.
