Exodus 22:20

20 a“Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the Lord alone, shall be devoted to destruction.
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)


Leviticus 27:21

21But the field, cwhen it is released in the jubilee, shall be a holy gift to the Lord, like a field that has been ddevoted. The priest shall be in epossession of it.

Numbers 21:2-3

2 fAnd Israel vowed a vow to the Lord and said, “If you will indeed give this people into my hand, then I will devote their cities to destruction.”
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction); also verse 3
3And the Lord heeded the voice of Israel and gave over the Canaanites, and they devoted them and their cities to destruction. So the name of the place was called hHormah.
 Hormah means destruction


Deuteronomy 7:1-2

A Chosen People

1“When the jLord your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, and clears away many nations before you, kthe Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations lmore numerous and mightier than you, 2 mand when the Lord your God gives them over to you, and you defeat them, then you must ndevote them to complete destruction.
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
pYou shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them.

Deuteronomy 13:15-16

15you shall surely put the inhabitants of that city to the sword, devoting it to destruction,
That is, setting apart ( devoting) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
all who are in it and its cattle, with the edge of the sword.
16You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its open square and rburn the city and all its spoil with fire, as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. It shall be a sheap forever. It shall not be built again.

Deuteronomy 20:16-17

16But tin the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, 17but uyou shall devote them to complete destruction,
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the Lord your God has commanded,

Deuteronomy 25:19

19Therefore wwhen the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies around you, in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess, you shall xblot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget.
