Exodus 22:22-27

22 aYou shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. 23If you do mistreat them, and they bcry out to me, I will surely chear their cry, 24and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and dyour wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

25 eIf you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be like a moneylender to him, and you shall not exact interest from him. 26 fIf ever you take your neighbor’s cloak in pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down, 27for that is his only covering, and it is his cloak for his body; in what else shall he sleep? And if he gcries to me, I will hear, for I am hcompassionate.

Isaiah 5:2

2He dug it and cleared it of stones,
and planted it with ichoice vines;
he built a watchtower in the midst of it,
and hewed out a wine vat in it;

Isaiah 58:6-8

6 “Is not this the fast that I choose:

Micah 6:8

8He has told you, O man, what is good;

but to do justice, and to love kindness,

Zechariah 7:9-14

Matthew 23:23
