24you shall anot bow down to their gods nor serve them, bnor do as they do, but cyou shall utterly overthrow them and break their dpillars in pieces.

Exodus 34:12-17

12 eTake care, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you go, lest it become a fsnare in your midst. 13You shall gtear down their altars and hbreak their pillars and cut down their iAsherim 14(for jyou shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), 15 klest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they lwhore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and myou are invited, you eat of his sacrifice, 16and you take of ntheir daughters for your sons, and their daughters owhore after their gods and make your sons whore after their gods.

17 p“You shall not make for yourself any gods of cast metal.

Numbers 33:51-52

51Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, qWhen you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52then ryou shall drive out sall the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their tfigured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places.

Deuteronomy 7:5

5But thus shall you deal with them: uyou shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their vpillars and chop down their wAsherim and xburn their carved images with fire.

Deuteronomy 7:25-26

25The carved images of their gods yyou shall burn with fire. You zshall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them or take it for yourselves, lest you be aaensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God. 26And you shall not bring an abominable thing into your house and become devoted to destruction
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction); twice in this verse
like it. You shall utterly detest and abhor it, acfor it is devoted to destruction.

Judges 2:2

2 adand you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; aeyou shall break down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed my voice. What is this you have done?
