Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit. 55But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as lbarbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell. 56And I will do to you mas I thought to do to them.”

27 sManasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages, for the Canaanites persisted in dwelling in that land. 28When Israel grew strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, but did not drive them out completely.

12Let not tsin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 uDo not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but vpresent yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14For wsin xwill have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
