Exodus 23:32-33

32 aYou shall make no covenant with them and their gods. 33They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, bit will surely be a snare to you.”

Exodus 34:12-16

12 cTake care, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you go, lest it become a dsnare in your midst. 13You shall etear down their altars and fbreak their pillars and cut down their gAsherim 14(for hyou shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), 15 ilest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they jwhore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and kyou are invited, you eat of his sacrifice, 16and you take of ltheir daughters for your sons, and their daughters mwhore after their gods and make your sons whore after their gods.

Deuteronomy 20:10-11

10“When you draw near to a city to fight against it, noffer terms of peace to it. 11And if it responds to you peaceably and it opens to you, then all the people who are found in it shall do forced labor for you and shall serve you.

Joshua 2:14

14And the men said to her, “Our life for yours even to death! If you do not tell this business of ours, then when the Lord gives us the land owe will deal kindly and faithfully with you.”

Joshua 9:18-21

18But the people of Israel did not attack them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel. Then all the congregation murmured against the leaders. 19But all the leaders said to all the congregation, “We have sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel, and now we may not touch them. 20This we will do to them: let them live, lest pwrath be upon us, qbecause of the oath that we swore to them.” 21And the leaders said to them, “Let them live.” So they became rcutters of wood and drawers of water for all the congregation, just as the leaders shad said of them.

Judges 1:24

24And the spies saw a man coming out of the city, and they said to him, “Please show us the way into the city, tand we will deal kindly with you.”

Judges 2:2
