Exodus 23:32-33

32 aYou shall make no covenant with them and their gods. 33They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, bit will surely be a snare to you.”

Exodus 34:12-16

12 cTake care, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you go, lest it become a dsnare in your midst. 13You shall etear down their altars and fbreak their pillars and cut down their gAsherim 14(for hyou shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), 15 ilest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they jwhore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and kyou are invited, you eat of his sacrifice, 16and you take of ltheir daughters for your sons, and their daughters mwhore after their gods and make your sons whore after their gods.

Numbers 33:52-56

52then nyou shall drive out oall the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their pfigured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places. 53And you shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it. 54 qYou shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. rTo a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit. 55But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as sbarbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell. 56And I will do to you tas I thought to do to them.”

Deuteronomy 7:23-25

23 uBut the Lord your God will give them over to you and throw them into great confusion, until they are destroyed. 24And vhe will give their kings into your hand, and you shall wmake their name perish from under heaven. xNo one shall be able to stand against you until you have destroyed them. 25The carved images of their gods yyou shall burn with fire. You zshall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them or take it for yourselves, lest you be aaensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 20:16-17

16But abin the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, 17but acyou shall devote them to complete destruction,
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the Lord your God has commanded,
