The Ark of the Covenant

10 a“They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

Exodus 25:22

22 cThere I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from dbetween the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.

Exodus 26:31

31 e“And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and ffine twined linen. It shall be made with cherubim gskillfully worked into it.

Exodus 26:33-34

33And you shall hang hthe veil from the clasps, and bring ithe ark of the testimony in there within the veil. And the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy. 34 jYou shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.

Exodus 35:12

12 kthe ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the lveil of the screen;

Exodus 36:35-36

35 mHe made the veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; with cherubim skillfully worked into it he made it. 36And for it he made four pillars of acacia and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold, and he cast for them four bases of silver.

Exodus 37:1-9

Making the Ark

1 nBezalel made the ark of acacia wood. Two cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
and a half was its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.
2And he overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside, and made a molding of gold around it. 3And he cast for it four rings of gold for its pfour feet, two rings on its one side and two rings on its other side. 4And he made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold 5and put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark. 6And he made a mercy seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half was its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. 7And he made two cherubim of gold. He made them of hammered work on the two ends of the mercy seat, 8one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat he made the cherubim on its two ends. 9The cherubim spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat were the faces of the cherubim.

Exodus 40:20-21

20He qtook the testimony and put it into the ark, and put the poles on the ark and set the mercy seat above on the ark. 21And he brought the ark into the tabernacle and rset up the veil of the screen, and screened sthe ark of the testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Leviticus 16:14

14And the shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the front of the mercy seat on the east side, and in front of the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.
