Exodus 25:2-7

2 ^a“Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From ^bevery man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me. 3 And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze, 4 ^cblue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats’ hair, 5 tanned ^drams’ skins, goatskins, ^{▼▼Uncertain; possibly dolphin skins, or dugong skins; compare 26:14} acacia wood, 6 ^foil for the lamps, ^gspices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, 7 onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ^hephod and for the breastpiece.

9 My heart goes out to the commanders of Israel

Mark 12:41-44

The Widow’s Offering

41 ^qAnd he sat down opposite ^rthe treasury and watched the people ^sputting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. 42 And a poor widow came and put in two ^tsmall copper coins, which make a penny. ^{▼▼Greek two lepta, which make a kodrantes; a kodrantes (Latin quadrans) was a Roman copper coin worth about 1/64 of a denarius (which was a day’s wage for a laborer)} 43 And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, ^vthis poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her ^wpoverty has put in everything she had, all ^xshe had to live on.”

2 Corinthians 8:11-12

11 So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have. 12 For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable ^yaccording to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
