16 It shall be square and doubled, a span ^{▼▼A span was about 9 inches or 22 centimeters} its length and a span its breadth. 17 ^bYou shall set in it four rows of stones. A row of sardius, ^{▼▼The identity of some of these stones is uncertain} topaz, and carbuncle shall be the first row;

Exodus 28:21

21 There shall be twelve stones with their names according to the names of the sons of Israel. They shall be like signets, each engraved with its name, for the twelve tribes.

Revelation of John 21:19-21

19 ^dThe foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel.
