40 a“For Aaron’s sons you shall make coats and sashes and caps. You shall make them bfor glory and beauty. 41And you shall put them on Aaron your brother, and on his sons with him, and shall canoint them and ordain them and dconsecrate them, that they may serve me as priests. 42You shall make for them elinen undergarments to cover their naked flesh. They shall reach from the hips to the thighs;

1 Samuel 22:18

18Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, fand he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod.

1 Chronicles 15:27

27David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as also were all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and the singers and Chenaniah the leader of the music of the singers. And David wore a linen ephod.
