Exodus 29:36-37

36and every day you shall offer a abull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall purify the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall banoint it to consecrate it. 37Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the caltar shall be most holy. dWhatever touches the altar shall become holy.

Leviticus 16:18

18Then he shall go out to the altar that is ebefore the Lord and fmake atonement for it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around.
