36 and every day you shall offer a ^abull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall purify the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall ^banoint it to consecrate it. 37 Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the ^caltar shall be most holy. ^dWhatever touches the altar shall become holy.

Leviticus 8:11

11 And he sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its utensils and the basin and its stand, to consecrate them.
