Exodus 29:36-37

36and every day you shall offer a abull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall purify the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall banoint it to consecrate it. 37Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the caltar shall be most holy. dWhatever touches the altar shall become holy.

Leviticus 8:15

15And he
Probably Aaron or his representative; possibly Moses; also verses 16–23
killed it, and fMoses took the blood, and with his finger put it on the horns of the altar around it and purified the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it to make atonement for it.

Leviticus 16:18

18Then he shall go out to the altar that is gbefore the Lord and hmake atonement for it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around.

Ezekiel 45:18-19

18Thus says the Lord God: In the first month, ion the first day of the month, you shall take a bull from the herd without blemish, and jpurify the sanctuary. 19 kThe priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering and put it lon the doorposts of the temple, the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and the posts of the gate of the inner court.

John 14:3

3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you mto myself, that nwhere I am you may be also.

Hebrews 9:22-23

22Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and owithout the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

23Thus it was necessary for pthe copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
