Exodus 3:8-9

8and aI have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and bto bring them up out of that land to a cgood and broad land, a land dflowing with milk and honey, to the place of ethe Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9And now, behold, fthe cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the goppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

1 Kings 18:17-18

Jeremiah 38:2-4

2Thus says the Lord: lHe who stays in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, mbut he who goes out to the Chaldeans shall live. He shall have his life as a prize of war, and live. 3Thus says the Lord: nThis city shall surely be given into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon and be taken.” 4Then the officials said to the king, oLet this man be put to death, pfor he is weakening the hands of the soldiers who are left in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man is not seeking qthe welfare of this people, but their harm.”

Acts 21:28-31

28crying out, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man who ris teaching everyone everywhere against the people and sthe law and tthis place. Moreover, he even brought Greeks into the temple and uhas defiled vthis holy place.” 29For they had previously seen wTrophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple. 30Then all the city was stirred up, and the people ran together. They seized Paul and xdragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut. 31 yAnd as they were seeking to kill him, word came to the tribune of zthe cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion.

Acts 24:5

5For we have found this man a plague, acone who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world and is a ringleader of adthe sect of the Nazarenes.

Acts 28:22

22But we desire to hear from you what your views are, for with regard to this aesect we know that everywhere afit is spoken against.”
