Exodus 30:23-29

23 “Take the ^afinest spices: of liquid myrrh 500 shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, that is, 250, and 250 of ^baromatic cane, 24 and 500 of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a ^chin ^{▼▼A hin was about 4 quarts or 3.5 liters} of olive oil. 25 And you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the ^eperfumer; it shall be a ^fholy anointing oil. 26 ^gWith it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony, 27 and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense, 28 and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the ^hbasin and its stand. 29 You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy. ⁱWhatever touches them will become holy.

Exodus 40:9-11

9 “Then you shall take the ^janointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and consecrate it and all its furniture, so that it may become holy. 10 You shall also anoint ^kthe altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar, ^lso that the altar may become most holy. 11 You shall also anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it.
