Exodus 32:12

12 ^aWhy should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil intent did he bring them out, to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your burning anger and ^brelent from this disaster against your people.

Numbers 14:15-16

15 Now if you kill this people as one man, then the nations who have heard your fame will say, 16 ‘It is because the Lord ^cwas not able to bring this people into the land that he swore to give to them that he has killed them in the wilderness.’

or opened the mouth or chirped.”
15 Shall ^zthe axe boast over him who hews with it,
or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it?
As if a rod should wield him who lifts it,
or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood!
