Exodus 32:2-4

2 So Aaron said to them, “Take off the ^arings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 ^bAnd he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden ^{▼▼Hebrew cast metal; also verse 8} calf. And they said, ^d“These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”

Judges 17:3-4

3 And he restored the 1,100 pieces of silver to his mother. And his mother said, “I dedicate the silver to the Lord from my hand for my son, to make ^ea carved image and ^fa metal image. Now therefore I will restore it to you.” 4 So when he restored the money to his mother, his mother ^gtook 200 pieces of silver and gave it to the silversmith, who made it into a carved image and a metal image. And it was in the house of Micah.

Isaiah 46:6

6 ^hThose who lavish gold from the purse,
and weigh out silver in the scales,
hire a goldsmith, and he makes it into a god;
ⁱthen they fall down and worship!
