Exodus 32:2-4

2So Aaron said to them, “Take off the arings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 bAnd he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden

calf. And they said, dThese are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”

Judges 8:24-27

24And Gideon said to them, “Let me make a request of you: every one of you give me the earrings from his spoil.” (For they had golden earrings, ebecause they were Ishmaelites.) 25And they answered, “We will willingly give them.” And they spread a cloak, and every man threw in it the earrings of his spoil. 26And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was 1,700 shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
of gold, besides gthe crescent ornaments and hthe pendants and the purple garments worn by the kings of Midian, and besides the collars that were around the necks of their camels.
27And Gideon imade an ephod of it and put it in his city, jin Ophrah. And all Israel kwhored after it there, and it became a lsnare to Gideon and to his family.

Hosea 2:13

13And mI will punish her for nthe feast days of the Baals
when she burned offerings to them
and oadorned herself with her ring and jewelry,
and went after her lovers
and forgot me, declares the Lord.
