Exodus 32:2-5

2So Aaron said to them, “Take off the arings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 bAnd he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden

calf. And they said, dThese are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”
5When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron emade a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.”

Exodus 32:21

21And Moses said to Aaron, fWhat did this people do to you that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

Exodus 32:35

35Then the Lord sent a plague on the people, because they made the calf, the one that Aaron made.

Hebrews 7:26-28

26For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, gholy, innocent, unstained, hseparated from sinners, and iexalted above the heavens. 27He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, jfirst for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this konce for all when he offered up himself. 28For the law appoints men lin their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made mperfect forever.
