Exodus 32:2-5

2So Aaron said to them, “Take off the arings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 bAnd he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden

5When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron emade a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.”

Exodus 32:21-24

21And Moses said to Aaron, fWhat did this people do to you that you have brought such a great sin upon them?” 22And Aaron said, “Let not the anger of my lord burn hot. gYou know the people, that they are set on evil. 23For hthey said to me, ‘Make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’ 24So iI said to them, ‘Let any who have gold take it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.”

Numbers 12:1-9

Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses

1Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. 2And they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? jHas he not spoken through us also?” And kthe Lord heard it. 3Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. 4And suddenly the Lord said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting.” And the three of them came out. 5And lthe Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward. 6And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him min a vision; I speak with him nin a dream. 7Not so with omy servant Moses. pHe is faithful in all my house. 8With him I speak qmouth to mouth, clearly, and not in rriddles, and he beholds sthe form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” 9And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them, and he departed.

Numbers 20:10-12

Moses Strikes the Rock

10Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, tHear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, uand water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. 12And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because vyou did not believe in me, wto uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
