Exodus 32:34

34 aBut now go, lead the people to the place about which I have spoken to you; bbehold, my angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I visit, I will visit their sin upon them.”

Deuteronomy 29:24-28

24all the nations cwill say, dWhy has the Lord done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’ 25Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, 26and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them. 27Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, ebringing upon it all the curses written in this book, 28and the Lord fuprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and gcast them into another land, as they are this day.’

Deuteronomy 32:15-19

15 “But hJeshurun grew fat, and ikicked;
jyou grew fat, stout, and sleek;
kthen he forsook God lwho made him
and scoffed at mthe Rock of his salvation.
16 nThey stirred him to jealousy with strange gods;
with abominations they provoked him to anger.
17 oThey sacrificed to demons that were no gods,
to gods they had never known,
to pnew gods that had come recently,
whom your fathers had never dreaded.
18You were unmindful of qthe Rock that bore

Judges 2:12-14

12 vAnd they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. wThey went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and xbowed down to them. yAnd they provoked the Lord to anger. 13They abandoned the Lord zand served the Baals and the Ashtaroth. 14 aaSo the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he abgave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. acAnd he sold them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, adso that they could no longer withstand their enemies.

And the people of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.

6 aiThe people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord ajand served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, akthe gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. And they alforsook the Lord and did not serve him. 7So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and amhe sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the Ammonites,

Judges 10:10-14

10And the people of Israel ancried out to the Lord, saying, “We have sinned against you, because aowe have forsaken our God and have served the Baals.” 11And the Lord said to the people of Israel, “Did I not save you apfrom the Egyptians and aqfrom the Amorites, arfrom the Ammonites and asfrom the Philistines? 12The Sidonians also, and atthe Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you, and you cried out to me, and I ausaved you out of their hand. 13Yet you have avforsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more. 14Go and cry out awto the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress.”
