Exodus 32:4-6

4 ^aAnd he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden ^{▼▼Hebrew cast metal; also verse 8} calf. And they said, ^c“These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron ^dmade a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.” 6 And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And ^ethe people sat down to eat and drink and rose up ^fto play.

Deuteronomy 9:16-17

16 And ^gI looked, and behold, you had sinned against the Lord your God. You had made yourselves a golden ^{▼▼Hebrew cast metal} calf. ⁱYou had turned aside quickly from the way that the Lord had commanded you. 17 So I took hold of the two tablets and threw them out of my two hands and broke them before your eyes.
