Exodus 32:7-8

7And the Lord said to Moses, aGo down, for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have bcorrupted themselves. 8They have turned aside quickly out of the way that cI commanded them. They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it and said, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!’”

Nehemiah 9:16-20

16“But they and our fathers dacted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey your commandments. 17They refused to obey eand were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, fgracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them. 18Even gwhen they had made for themselves a golden
Hebrew metal
calf and said, ‘This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,’ iand had committed great blasphemies,
19you jin your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness. kThe pillar of cloud to lead them in the way did not depart from them by day, lnor the pillar of fire by night to light for them the way by which they should go. 20 mYou gave your good Spirit to instruct them nand did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst.

Psalms 81:11-12

11 “But my people did not listen to my voice;
Israel owould not submit to me.
12So I pgave them over to their qstubborn hearts,
to follow their own rcounsels.

Psalms 106:7-48

7Our fathers, when they were in Egypt,
did not consider your wondrous works;
they sdid not remember the abundance of your steadfast love,
but trebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.
8Yet he saved them ufor his name’s sake,
vthat he might make known his mighty power.
9He wrebuked the Red Sea, and it xbecame dry,
and he yled them through the deep as through a desert.
10So he zsaved them from the hand of the foe
and aaredeemed them from the power of the enemy.
11And abthe waters covered their adversaries;
not one of them was left.
12Then acthey believed his words;
they adsang his praise.
13 But they soon aeforgot his works;
they did not wait for afhis counsel.
14But they had aga wanton craving in the wilderness,
and ahput God to the test in the desert;
15he aigave them what they asked,
but sent aja wasting disease among them.
16 When men in the camp akwere jealous of Moses
and Aaron, althe holy one of the Lord,
17 amthe earth opened and swallowed up Dathan,
and covered the company of Abiram.
18 anFire also broke out in their company;
the flame burned up the wicked.
19 They aomade a calf in Horeb
and worshiped a metal image.
20They apexchanged the glory of God
Hebrew  exchanged their glory

for the image of an ox that eats grass.
21They arforgot God, their Savior,
who had done great things in Egypt,
22wondrous works in asthe land of Ham,
and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
23Therefore athe said he would destroy them—
had not Moses, his auchosen one,
avstood in the breach before him,
to turn away his wrath from destroying them.
24 Then they awdespised axthe pleasant land,
having ayno faith in his promise.
25They azmurmured in their tents,
and did not obey the voice of the Lord.
26Therefore he baraised his hand and swore to them
that he would make them fall in the wilderness,
27and would make their offspring fall among the nations,
bbscattering them among the lands.
28 Then they bcyoked themselves to the bdBaal of Peor,
and ate sacrifices offered to bethe dead;
29they provoked the Lord to anger with their deeds,
and a plague broke out among them.
30Then bfPhinehas stood up and intervened,
and the plague was stayed.
31And that was bgcounted to him as righteousness
from generation to generation forever.
32 They bhangered him at the waters of Meribah,
and it went ill with Moses on their account,
33for they bimade his spirit bitter,
Or  they rebelled against God’s Spirit

and he bkspoke rashly with his lips.
34 They did not bldestroy the peoples,
bmas the Lord commanded them,
35but they bnmixed with the nations
and learned to do as they did.
36They served their idols,
which became boa snare to them.
37They bpsacrificed their sons
and their daughters to bqthe demons;
38they poured out innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was brpolluted with blood.
39Thus they bsbecame unclean by their acts,
and btplayed the whore in their deeds.
40 Then buthe anger of the Lord was kindled against bvhis people,
and he abhorred his bwheritage;
41he bxgave them into the hand of the nations,
so that those who hated them ruled over them.
42Their enemies byoppressed them,
and they were brought into subjection under their power.
43 bzMany times he delivered them,
but they were rebellious in their capurposes
and were cbbrought low through their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless, he looked upon their distress,
when he ccheard their cry.
45For their sake he cdremembered his covenant,
and cerelented according to cfthe abundance of his steadfast love.
46He caused them to be cgpitied
by all those who held them captive.
47 chSave us, O Lord our God,
and cigather us from among the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
and glory in your praise.
48 cjBlessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting!
ckAnd let all the people say, “Amen!”
clPraise the Lord!

26 cmYet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, cnbut stiffened their neck. coThey did worse than their fathers.

Jeremiah 11:7-8

7For I solemnly warned your fathers when I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, cpwarning them persistently, even to this day, saying, cqObey my voice. 8 crYet they did not obey or incline their ear, csbut everyone walked in the stubbornness of his evil heart. Therefore I brought upon them all ctthe words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.”
