Deuteronomy 29:25

25 Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,

Deuteronomy 31:16-18

16 And the Lord said to Moses, ^b“Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers. Then this people will rise and ^cwhore after the foreign gods among them in the land that they are entering, and they will ^dforsake me and ^ebreak my covenant that I have made with them. 17 Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and ^fI will forsake them and ^ghide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, ^h‘Have not these evils come upon us because ⁱour God is not among us?’ 18 And I will surely hide my face in that day because of all the evil that they have done, because ^jthey have turned to other gods.

Joshua 23:15-16

15 But just as all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you have been fulfilled for you, so the Lord will bring upon you ^kall the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land that the Lord your God has given you, 16 if you transgress the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them. Then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land that he has given to you.”

2 Kings 17:15-18

15 They despised his statutes ^land his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after ^mfalse idols ⁿand became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the ^oLord had commanded them that they should not do like them. 16 And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made for themselves metal images of ^ptwo calves; and they ^qmade an Asherah and ^rworshiped all the host of heaven and served ^sBaal. 17 ^tAnd they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings ^{▼▼Or made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire} and used ^vdivination and ^womens and ^xsold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger. 18 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but ^ythe tribe of Judah only.

Psalms 78:10

10 They ^zdid not keep God’s covenant,
but refused to walk according to his law.
