Exodus 34:6-7

6The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, a“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and bgracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast clove and faithfulness, 7 dkeeping steadfast love for thousands,
Or to the thousandth generation
fforgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but gwho will by no means clear the guilty, hvisiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”

Isaiah 55:6-7

6 iSeek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near;
7let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Jeremiah 3:12-13

12Go, and proclaim these words toward jthe north, and say,

k“‘Return, faithless Israel,

declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for lI am merciful,

declares the Lord;
mI will not be angry forever.
13 nOnly acknowledge your guilt,
that you rebelled against the Lord your God
and scattered your favors among foreigners under oevery green tree,
and that you have not obeyed my voice,

declares the Lord.

1 John 1:7-9

7But pif we walk in the light, qas he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and rthe blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 sIf we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and tthe truth is not in us. 9 uIf we confess our sins, he is vfaithful and just to forgive us our sins and wto cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
