Exodus 35:21-29

21And they came, aeveryone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, band brought the Lord’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. 22So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the Lord. 23And cevery one who possessed dblue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats’ hair or tanned ramsskins or goatskins brought them. 24 eEveryone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord’s contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it. 25And every fskillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. 26All the women gwhose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats’ hair. 27And the hleaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece, 28and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. 29 iAll the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the Lord.

Mark 12:43-44

43And he called his disciples to him and said to them, Truly, I say to you, jthis poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her kpoverty has put in everything she had, all lshe had to live on.”

Mark 14:8-9

8 mShe has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand nfor burial. 9And truly, I say to you, wherever othe gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told pin memory of her.”

The Cheerful Giver

6The point is this: twhoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully
Greek with blessings; twice in this verse
will also reap bountifully.
7Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, vnot reluctantly or under compulsion, for wGod loves a cheerful giver.
