Exodus 4:22-23

22Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, aIsrael is my bfirstborn son, 23and I say to you, “Let my son go that he may serve me.” If you refuse to let him go, behold, I cwill kill your firstborn son.’”

1 Kings 14:6-13

6But when dAhijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, he said, “Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why do you pretend to be another? For I am charged with unbearable news for you. 7Go, tell Jeroboam, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: eBecause I exalted you from among the people and made you leader over my people Israel 8and ftore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you, and yet you have not been glike my servant David, who kept my commandments and followed me with all his heart, doing only that which was right in my eyes, 9but you have done evil above all who were before you and have gone and hmade for yourself other gods and imetal images, provoking me to anger, and jhave cast me behind your back, 10therefore behold, I will bring harm upon the house of Jeroboam and kwill cut off from Jeroboam every male, lboth bond and free in Israel, and mwill burn up the house of Jeroboam, as a man burns up dung until it is all gone. 11 nAnyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone who dies in the open country the birds of the heavens shall eat, for the Lord has spoken it.”’ 12Arise therefore, go to your house. oWhen your feet enter the city, the child shall die. 13And all Israel shall mourn for him and bury him, for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him pthere is found something pleasing to the Lord, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.

1 Kings 21:18-24

18Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who is in qSamaria; behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone to take possession. 19And you shall say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Have you killed and also taken possession?”’ And you shall say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord: r“In the place where dogs licked up the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your own blood.”’”

20Ahab said to Elijah, s“Have you found me, O my enemy?” He answered, “I have found you, because tyou have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of the Lord. 21Behold, I will bring disaster upon you. I will utterly burn you up, and uwill cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel. 22And I will make your house like vthe house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like wthe house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the anger to which you have provoked me, and because you xhave made Israel to sin. 23And of Jezebel the Lord also said, y‘The dogs shall eat Jezebel within zthe walls of Jezreel.’ 24 aaAnyone belonging to Ahab who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone of his who dies in the open country the birds of the heavens shall eat.”

1 Kings 22:28

28And Micaiah said, “If you return in peace, abthe Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, acHear, all you peoples!”

2 Kings 1:3-4

3But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah adthe Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of aeBaal-zebub, the god of Ekron? 4Now therefore thus says the Lord, afYou shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’” So Elijah went.

2 Kings 1:6

6And they said to him, “There came a man to meet us, and said to us, ‘Go back to the king who sent you, and say to him, Thus says the Lord, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending to inquire of agBaal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’”
