Exodus 5:14

14And the foremen of the people of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s ataskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, “Why have you not done all your task of making bricks today and yesterday, as in the past?”

Isaiah 58:4

4Behold, you fast only to quarrel and to fight
and to hit with a wicked fist.
Fasting like yours this day
will not make your voice to be heard on high.

Amos 2:6-7

Judgment on Israel

6Thus says the Lord:

b“For three transgressions of Israel,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because cthey sell the righteous for dsilver,
and the needy for a pair of sandals
7those who trample the head of the poor einto the dust of the earth
and fturn aside the way of the afflicted;
ga man and his father go in to the same girl,
so that my holy name is profaned;

Amos 8:4-6

4 Hear this, hyou who trample on the needy
and bring the poor of the land to an end,
5saying, “When will ithe new moon be over,
that we may sell grain?
And jthe Sabbath,
that we may offer wheat for sale,
that we may make kthe ephah small and the shekel
An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters; a  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
great
and deal deceitfully with false balances,
6that we may buy the poor for msilver
and the needy for a pair of sandals
and sell the chaff of the wheat?”

Micah 3:2-3

2you nwho hate the good and love the evil,
owho tear the skin from off my people
Hebrew  from off them

and their flesh from off their bones,
3 qwho eat the flesh of my people,
and flay their skin from off them,
and break their bones in pieces
and chop them up like meat in a pot,
like flesh in a cauldron.
