14They say to God, fDepart from us!

12Were they ashamed when they committed abomination?

they did not know how to blush.

when I punish them, they shall be overthrown,

Jeremiah 16:15-17

15but m‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel nout of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them.’ For oI will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers.

16Behold, pI am sending for many fishers, declares the Lord, and they shall catch them. And afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out qof the clefts of the rocks. 17For rmy eyes are on all their ways. sThey are not hidden from me, tnor is their iniquity concealed from my eyes.

Jeremiah 18:18

18Then they said, uCome, let us make plots against Jeremiah, vfor the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. wCome, let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not pay attention to any of his words.”

Jeremiah 38:4

4Then the officials said to the king, xLet this man be put to death, yfor he is weakening the hands of the soldiers who are left in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man is not seeking zthe welfare of this people, but their harm.”
