Exodus 5:8

8But the number of bricks that they made in the past you shall impose on them, you shall by no means reduce it, for they are idle. Therefore they cry, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifice to our God.’

Exodus 5:17

17But he said, “You are idle, you are idle; that is why you say, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord.’

Amos 8:5

An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters; a  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams

Malachi 1:10-13

10 eOh that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the Lord of hosts, fand I will not accept an offering from your hand. 11For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name gwill be
Or is (three times in verse 11; also verse 14)
great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name iwill be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.
12But you profane it when you say that jthe Lord’s table is polluted, and its fruit, that is, its food may be despised. 13But you say, kWhat a weariness this is,’ and you snort at it, says the Lord of hosts. lYou bring what has been taken by violence or is lame or sick, and this you bring as your offering! Shall I accept that from your hand? says the Lord.
